Erin received her undergraduate degree in Social Work from Utah State University. She then earned her Masters of Social Work degree from Boise State University. Her experience includes working with children, adolescents, and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma-related issues, poor self-esteem, unhealthy relationships, and family conflict.
Originally from Idaho, Erin has lived in Utah, Texas and Arkansas, before returning to Idaho Falls. She enjoys gardening, reading, movies, playing games, and setting aside moments for relaxation.
Erin utilizes a strengths-based approach, acknowledging that everyone possesses strengths that can assist them in overcoming life's obstacles. She sees her role as collaborating with clients to identify and utilize client strengths, skills, and talents. Erin finds fulfillment in aiding clients in recognizing their values and empowering them to make decisions that resonate with those values.
Using a person-centered approach, Erin views clients as the authorities in their own lives. She integrates CBT, DBT, and play therapy, education and the teaching of new skills when working with clients. Erin emphasizes the significance of mindfulness skills and incorporates mindfulness practices in sessions.
