What is psychiatry?

A psychiatrist is a medical doctor (an M.D. or D.O.) who specializes in mental health, including substance use disorders, as well as managing prescription medications. Psychiatrists are qualified to assess both the mental and physical aspects of psychological problems.

Contracted Psychiatrist

Meet our contracted psychiatrist, Dr. Ronald Zohner. Dr. Zohner is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including both Mountain View Hospital and Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He received his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 20 years.

He is capable of diagnosing and treating mental illnesses, such as depression, anxiety disorders, substance abuse, and schizophrenia. Most psychiatrists rely on a mix of medications and psychotherapy.
