Ta'resa Crow, ACT Team Lead, LCSW, MBA

Ta’resa Crow has worked with severe and persistent mental illness since 2007. She began her career as a therapist at State Hospital South where she specialized in treating mood and personality disorders. Ta’resa completed her clinical hours at SHS with a focus on providing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Ta’resa was appointed as a Designated Examiner in 2008 as part of the Department of Health and Welfare Crisis Team where she advocated for treatment for persons suffering from severe and persistent mental illness as an expert witness for commitment hearings and providing mental health and forensic assessments. She received the State of Idaho Director’s Customer Service Award in 2014.

Ta’resa continued her career as a Utilization Review clinician at EIRMC BHC and most recently as a Field Care Clinician for Optum Idaho where she advocated for care to meet the needs of clients coping with mental illness. Ta’resa was honored with the BHC Employee Award for Advocacy in 2017. In addition, Ta’resa has provided private therapy using a variety of evidence-based modalities and is registered with the Idaho Social Work Board as a Clinical Supervisor.

Ta’resa holds a BA in Psychology from Clemson University and a Masters in Social Work from Walla Walla University. She was inducted into the Society of Leadership and Success in 2022 and graduated with her MBA from Capella University in 2023 with honors.

Ta’resa enjoys spending time with her two daughters, learning improvisational dance, and writing. She is known for her eclectic style, her love of all things HelloKitty, and her extensive shoe collection which rivals Imelda Marcos.
