Angelica received her B.A in Psychology from BYUI. When attending BYUI she had an internship at the JCC in St. Anthony where she worked with the adjudicated youth. It was there that she realized she wanted to continue her education and applied for her master’s in clinical mental health. She attended ISU where she graduated with her degree in 2020. Angelica has experience working with children, adolescents and adults experiencing a variety of issues including PTSD, divorce/separation, life changes, faith transitions, LGBTQIA+, suicidal ideation and trauma.
In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, reading, spending time with her kitties and going to coffee shops.
Angelica has been trained in different modalities that include CBT, DBT,
Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and ACT. Her clinical interests include
anxiety, depression, religion & spirituality, exploration of sexual identity, creating meaning, finding purpose, and trauma recovery.
Angelica’s approach to therapy is that she is there as a guide. She believes that the client is the expert on their own life, and she is there to support. Every
individual is faced with choices at every moment in life and sometimes the
power of choice can be so overwhelming for people that they stop taking charge of their life. Angelica is here to help clients reclaim their power and guide them to see that exercising choice can help them create meaning, find purpose and live a more authentic life.
