I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Ouachita Baptist University in 2022 then a Master of Mental Health Counseling from Idaho State University in 2024. I have experience working with substance use disorders and used to intern at the Pocatello Women's Correctional Center. I have worked with some of the most stigmatized groups of people and enjoy supporting them as they learn to find their voices again. I also have experience working in wide variety of mental health concerns such a depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, substance use disorders, trauma, etc. I have a special interest in domestic violence offenders and have presented at both the state and national level conferences for counseling on treatment for these clients.
I am originally from Arkansas and moved to Idaho for grad school. I enjoy getting outside, painting, reading and photography in my free time.
I come from a Humanistic approach. I believe that humans are good no matter their circumstances. I believe that clients deserve to have a safe space to share who they are and what they are going through. For clients who have a history of incarceration, I see them as normal humans and have a judgement free space. My goal is to give everyone a voice and a chance to be heard. Through the humanistic lens, I believe that all clients are capable of making it through hard times but may need that extra support to accomplish their goals. I see counseling as a process of walking through life with a client and supporting them through their journeys.
