
Dr. McIsaac earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Idaho State University and later completed both his Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and his PhD in Criminal Justice through Walden University. His doctoral research focused on mental-health treatment strategies and support systems for high-risk and first-responder populations. His background includes community-based rehabilitation and case management, supporting individuals and families through a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges. He is a Certified Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) provider with additional expertise in ADHD, anxiety, depression, family conflict, substance use/dependence, and personality disorders. He works with clients of all ages, with extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, and families.
Daniel takes a holistic and human-centered approach to therapy that integrates mindfulness, emotional awareness, and practical skills to support meaningful change. His work is grounded in supporting clients to build a life of meaning and relationship, viewing struggle as part of the human experience rather than pathologizing it.
Raised in Idaho Falls, Daniel appreciates the outdoor lifestyle the region offers and enjoys hiking, camping, cross-country skiing, and year-round recreation. He is also passionate about health and wellness and maintains an active involvement in weightlifting and bodybuilding. Outside the office, Daniel values time with his wife, Jackie, and their three dogs, who keep life active, playful, and full of energy.
