Chelsey has been in the mental health field for almost 15 years. She has seen all sides of the industry from clerical and billing to community based work to intellectual disabilities. She graduated with her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Idaho State University and spent some time with her husband in California while he was in the United States Marine Corps. After moving back to Southeast Idaho, she obtained her Master's Degree from Northwest Nazarene University. Chelsey is currently a School Counselor at a local high school and enjoys helping teens through their awkward and difficult adolescence. In whatever downtime she can find, she enjoys camping and kayaking, crocheting stuffed animals, traveling and spending time with her family.
Chelsey believes in a client driven, strengths-based approach to therapy that is focused in finding solutions and making changes. If you are looking for a therapist who will listen, engage, offer constructive feedback and then tangible suggestions and skills to enact change, you would get along well. Chelsey enjoys working with teens and adults on ways to overcome hurdles and barriers in life and helping people reach their goals and be who they want to be.
