Karen Ronneberg grew up in Southeast Idaho, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Brigham Young University-Idaho, and received her Master of Social Work degree from Northwest Nazarene University. Before graduating with her Master's, Karen enjoyed working as a case manager and skills builder. She previously worked for several years as a tour guide, which may have influenced her delighting in running both educational and therapeutic groups as a counselor.
She loves being outside and travelling, doing and seeing new things, and learning more about people and places around the world. She relishes a good dance party as well as a quiet evening inside reading or playing video games. She tries to be in the moment wherever she is, because she believes that the journey is more important than the destination.
Karen Ronneberg treats individuals, not problems, and uses an eclectic approach most often incorporating principles of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and/or Brief Solution Focused Therapy.
