Kevin Ruhnau, LPC

Master of Counseling

Kevin obtained his professional licensure after serving 21 years in the United States Army. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice while serving as a military policeman and his Masters degree in Professional Counseling, both from Liberty University, after he retired. He is continuing his education by pursuing his Doctorate in Care and Counseling focusing on trauma.

After retiring from the Army, Kevin and his family moved to Idaho where they enjoy the outdoors. When he is not working or learning, Kevin enjoys outdoor activities, woodworking, reading a good book, cooking, and riding his motorcycles.

Therapeutic Approach

There may be times when something happens that we have no control over. Life may hit you hard, accidents will and do occur and you may have no idea how to handle it. There are groups that may be easier traumatized than others. These may include children of all ages or veterans and family members associated with trauma. With incorporating various trauma-related techniques as well as a Christian- counseling approach for those that desire it, Kevin uses his experience and training to assist children and our great men and women who have served our country who may have been traumatized by an event.
