Lelainne is a proud alumna of Idaho State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s in Social Work in 2019, followed by her Master’s in Social Work in 2021. Having grown up in the southeast Idaho area, Lelainne is passionate about serving her community and helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with confidence and resilience. In her free time, she enjoys reading, going on adventures, seeing live music, roller skating, and chasing her two boys around. Her favorite therapy quote is, “Everything is held together with stories. That is all that is holding us together — stories and compassion.” -Barry Lopez. Lastly, she feels strongly that pineapple does belong on pizza.
Lelainne blends evidence-based practices with a client-centered approach to support personal growth, healing, and well-being. She enjoys providing counseling to adolescents, adults, couples and families. She has an interest in trauma-informed care, parenting or co-parenting, and the family system. She believes in emphasizing everyone’s strengths, and using empowerment to foster a sense of ability in those she meets. Lelainne also places importance on the intersectionality framework, which aims to understand how an individual is impacted by their connections of race, sex, class, disability, etc. Lelainne utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused CBT, Mindfulness Techniques, EMDR and Person-Centered Therapy approaches. Lelainne believes that the most important part of therapy is the therapeutic relationship and making sure there is trust established to foster honesty and vulnerability.
