Liza Hansen, LMSW

Master of Social Work

Liza grew up in the Chicago area and moved to Idaho where she graduated with her bachelors degree in Social Work from Brigham Young University-Idaho (BYU-Idaho). After graduating from BYU-Idaho, Liza began working with adolescents and families as a Behavioral Interventionist for those with developmental disabilities. Liza continued her education and earned her Masters degree in Social Work at Boise State University. Liza has experience working with adults, teens, and children. In her spare time Liza enjoys being with her husband, daughter, and dog. Liza also likes being with friends, exercising, reading books, and watching movies.

Therapeutic Approach

Liza believes in creating a safe and empowering space for all clients. She works with children, teens, and young adults with depression, anxiety, trauma, and other mental health diagnoses. Liza utilizes CBT, Trauma focused CBT, DBT, Person Centered therapy ,play therapy, art, mindfulness skills and techniques to address and accomplish goals.
