Melina Meus, MFT-I

Melina is a registered Marriage and Family Therapy Intern working toward full licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). She earned her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Touro University and her Bachelor’s degree in Marriage and Family Studies from Brigham Young University-Idaho.

Melina works with a diverse variety of populations and life stages, with a special passion for working with couples of all kinds to help them strengthen their connections, improve communication, and navigate relationship challenges. Her clinical approach is grounded in collaboration and empathy, drawing primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Milan Family Therapy to help clients reshape unhelpful patterns, regulate emotions, re-author their life stories, and build healthier dynamics. Central to her practice is a deep commitment to cultural competency, ensuring every client feels genuinely understood, respected, and honored within their unique cultural context.

Outside of the therapy room, Melina loves spending quality time with her cats and traveling and exploring new places with her husband. She believes that experiencing different cultures and adventures brings balance and fresh perspective to her own life, which ultimately helps her show up fully and compassionately for her clients.
