Nathan Blumenberg, LMSW

LMSW

Nathan (Nate) Blumenberg, LMSW, is a Licensed Master Social Worker dedicated to supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges with compassion, evidence-based practice, and trauma-informed care. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Marriage and Family Studies from Brigham Young University–Idaho in 2019 and completed his Master of Social Work at Northwest Nazarene University in 2022, with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health and Addictions.

Nathan has been with Tueller Counseling since 2019, initially working in skills building and case management before transitioning into counseling in 2023. He has extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, and families—particularly in helping youth develop emotional regulation skills and navigate the transition into adulthood.

He also works with college students managing academic stress, identity development, and major life transitions. Nathan has experience supporting women who have experienced trauma, including abuse, and approaches this work with sensitivity, respect, and a trauma-informed lens. Additionally, he has worked with women during pregnancy and postpartum, including those experiencing postpartum depression, striving to provide a supportive space during these vulnerable life stages. Nathan frequently helps clients build and maintain healthy boundaries in their relationships, empowering them to foster self-worth and autonomy.

Trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Nathan integrates trauma-informed approaches into his work with clients healing from distressing life events, anxiety, and emotional pain. He is committed to creating a safe, collaborative therapeutic environment where clients can explore their experiences and move toward lasting growth.

When not working, Nathan enjoys spending time outdoors, camping, being with his family, and building LEGO sets.

Nathan uses a flexible, integrative approach tailored to each client’s goals and needs. His therapeutic toolkit includes: EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Family Therapy, Couples Therapy, Behavior Modification, and Anger Management.

Nathan supports individuals who are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, trauma, or attention-related challenges, offering a calm and compassionate space to sort through what feels heavy. He works with couples to improve communication, strengthen their connection, and navigate relationship challenges together. He also works closely with parents, helping them better understand and respond to their children’s emotional and behavioral needs. At the heart of his work, Nathan’s goal is to walk alongside each person with warmth, respect, and encouragement—helping them take steady steps toward healing and personal growth.
