
Rivani (Vani) Calato earned her bachelor’s degree and two master’s degrees from Louisiana State University. Throughout her education and clinical training, Vani has worked with children, adolescents, families, and adults across a variety of settings. Her professional experience includes working in inpatient hospitalization and educational settings, where she supported individuals experiencing acute mental health crises and emotional distress.
Vani is passionate about working with adults, adolescents, and families, particularly those navigating trauma, emotional regulation challenges, family conflict, depression, impulse control, self-esteem, grief, and anxiety.
In her free time, Vani enjoys spending time with her husband, her golden retriever, Mabel, her MalShi, Leo, and her bunny, Polly. She also enjoys being with family and friends, staying active, and taking quiet time to recharge.
Vani believes in creating a safe, supportive, and empowering space for all clients. She works with children, adolescents, adults, and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and stress-related challenges. Her approach is trauma-informed and strengths-based, integrating behavioral principles informed by B.F. Skinner, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT-informed skills, person-centered therapy, solution-focused techniques, mindfulness, play therapy, art therapy, and Gestalt-informed interventions to support clients in building coping skills, resilience, and emotional insight.
