
Steffanie Schindler is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) dedicated to providing compassionate, trauma-informed mental health support to individuals and families across Eastern Idaho. She holds a Master of Social Work from Louisiana State University, where she graduated with a 4.263 GPA and was inducted into the Omega Nu Lambda National Honor Society, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from Brigham Young University. Steffanie completed her graduate clinical internship at Tueller Counseling Services and a generalist internship at the Upper Valley Child Advocacy Center. Complementing her academic background, she has completed specialized training in Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed practices, and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs).
Her clinical practice centers on advanced crisis intervention, suicide prevention, child abuse advocacy and treatment, grief and bereavement, support for at-risk youth, and animal-assisted therapy. Steffanie serves children, adolescents, adults, and families managing chronic or persistent mental illness, life transitions, and high-risk behaviors. Utilizing an integrative, strengths-based approach tailored to each client's unique needs, she draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to help clients build resilience and achieve their therapeutic goals.
Outside of her clinical work, Steffanie is deeply rooted in the local community through involvement in regional suicide prevention initiatives and volunteer work, including serving with the Rexburg Mobile Food Pantry. Originally from California, Steffanie and her family have called Idaho home since 2002. She and her husband, who is also a mental health professional, are the proud parents of four children and share a lifelong commitment to guiding individuals and families through life's challenges with compassion and care.
